"Strength & Conditioning" Seminar

 In Out Court in collaboration with  Inspire2coach organized a Specific theme Seminar in Kalovelonis Tennis Academy on 15.16 February 2014 .

The 78 participants watched with great interest the theoretical and practical presentations for training players (Under 10 and 11-14)in Strength & Conditioning.
The speaker of the seminar Mr. Richard Westman as Head fitness coach in LTA  for the Central District of England gave useful information for coaches and  in particular on the following issues :

- Measurement and evaluation of physical capacity .

- Contemporary forms of Functional training.

- Useful analysis program Long term athletes development.

- Scheduling fitness training.

- Types of Training for Strength & Conditioning.

During a panel discussion the participants had the opportunity to hear the importance of fitness in modern tennis from ATP players ( George Kaloveloni , Solon Pepas and Mark Kalovelonis).

The answers given, representing three different generations , stressed the importance of physical fitness training in younger athletes - mation .
